The United Nations gave a multi-national peacekeepers recruitment party...

Nobody came. Or..., everybody ran like he!!. Away.

Hezbo-Kofi Annan's blame-Israel-first-and-always political tap-dance...

"Who me...? Why, I'm not responsible for all of the United Nations-abetted genocide, oil-for-food bribery-kickback-and corruption scam, anti-semitism and providing "U.N. monitor" cover for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

It's all Israel's fault! Israel must be condemned for still existing after all this time.

Soooo....., give me a c-e-a-s-e-f-i-r-e! Heh. We can't let Hezbollah lose this thang to Israel, doncha' know...!"

Guess Hezbo-Kofi failed to notice that his political, anti-semitic/pro-terrorist slip is showing.

Mark Levin: On the blame-Israel-first hostile mainstream media and hard-left... and the lunacy of "peace" at any price...

Folks, here's another *****Five Star, must read posting by Mark Levin at National Review, "Wrong Again." As usual, Levin is spot-on in his analysis---this time of the "hostile" mainstream media's, and much of the world's, consistently inaccurate and biased reporting on every incident that involves Israel and its self-defense.

They incessantly blame Israel for every terrorist offensive and loss of civilian life, assuming up front that Israel is at fault---even when subjected to unprovoked bombing attacks by Iran and Syria-backed Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists. Always with the underlying presumption that Israel must make sacrifices in the face of terrorists' demands---in order to purchase "peace" at any price. Even at the price of Israel's destruction.

That doesn't conform to any concept of peace that is logical, rational or possible.

By the way, Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists are civilians. They dress as civilians while prosecuting war against Israel. They hide among other civilians and use them as dispensible human shields and targets for political propaganda and asymetrical warfare purposes.

But these terrorist civilians are not, themselves, civilized. They are civilian cowards engaged in barbaric cowardly acts masquerading as war. They hit and then run---to hide behind women, children and babies, knowing civilized armies will be loathe to hit them there.

Israel should sacrifice nothing else for any black-mail and terrorism-induced "peace" to mollify the insatiable appetites of fanatics, Islamo-fascists, and sycophantic appeasement-first Europhiles and leftists of the world.

Nothing. As in not anything else, period.

"Did we not learn from Katrina that the Big Media get big stories wrong? As best as I can tell, the U.S. media are repeating most of the information about the bombing of Qana that is being reported by the Arab media, including Hezbollah TV.

I am convinced that the Big Media are not only hostile to Israel’s right to defend itself, just as they are hostile to our efforts in Iraq, but they are incapable of reporting accurately and comprehensively about the war on terrorism.

I’ve yet to see any U.S. reporter or cameraman embedded with Hezbollah reporting about their tactics, brutality, and whereabouts, and sending pictures of all of it to the rest of the world. Of course, Hezbollah has no intention of giving them such access.

So, as in the case of Qana, they run to the scene of the devastation, provide no context or perspective for what occurred (or de-emphasize it), while repeatedly pointing to Israel as the culprit.

Hezbollah uses children and women as shields. They lob rockets and missiles into Israeli population centers. Conversely, the Israelis drop fliers on town they are about to attack, urging civilians to leave (and in Gaza, Israel actually has called ahead to private homes urging the occupants to leave). Yet, Israel is blamed for Hezbollah’s terrorist tactics...

Meanwhile, Iran and Syria have blood on their hands — having trained, funded, armed, and provided logistical support to the terrorists — and we hear precious little about their culpability..."

Oooops..! Kofi Annan's favorite terrorists are losing... so he wants an immediate ceasefire and condemnation of Israel.

Now that Hezbo terrorists' get-up-and-go has got-up-and-went... Jew-hating Kofi vigorously rushes to and fro prosecuting his pro-Hezbollah political campaign---demanding an immediate ceasefire and trying desperately to save his favorite terrorists from total humiliation by superior Israeli forces.

All the while Hezbo-Kofi refuses to have any empathy for Israeli citizens who are daily subjected to or murdered by Hezbollah's Iranian and Syrian rockets and missiles. And refuses to admit he wrongly accused Israel of "targeting" U.N. outposts, even though proof that he is wrong has come out in the form of an e-mail written by a Canadian U.N. monitor stationed in Lebanon---in one of those outposts, just before he was killed.

I'm still waiting for Hezbo-Kofi to condemn Hezbollah for its unprovoked attacks on Israel, across an international border, from the sovereign nation of Lebanon---indiscriminately lobbing thousands of rockets and missiles down on Israeli cities and citizens. here

Yeah, yeah... I know. It's just not a happenin' thang.

Hezbollah's hotline to Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei... their Boss-Mullah...

Need a few thousand more rockets an' missiles...? Jus' dial up th' Supreme Boss-Mullah at Rockets'R'Us in Iran... Then stand outside and wait for 'em to get there.

Boss-Mullah Khamanei might have a lot of WMD an' Israel-hatred, but..., as the noose gets tighter 'round your terrorist necks, you'll get those boys 'bout th' same time Hezbollah's Sheik Nasrallah comes outta hidin' in Syria... where he's all safe'n'sound... for now...

With any luck at all, Israel will go in an' drag his cowardly @ss outta there an' back to Tel Aviv... then put him on trial for crimes against humanity. Seems there's never been a civilian he wouldn't sacrifice to save himself and his fellow terrorists from bein' killed.

Hezbollah is losing to Israel and running out of ammo...

But they still have Iran-supplied, Hezbollah distributed welfare... for the dependent civilians they use as human shields to hide behind...

Pro-terrorist Kofi Annan demands immediate cease-fire & that terrorist nations Iran & Syria be included in cease-fire negotiations...

Folks, there are several columns in today's news that demonstrate just how anti-Semitic and pro-terrorists U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan is. It is stunning, really. And it is nothing new.

The difference is that Annan has now lost his cool and is frantically trying to escalate his long-running practice of using the United Nations as a weapon against Israel---and is making demands of Israel that he has no right, authority, credibility or impartiality to make. Witness his false accusation against Israel that Israeli troops "apparently deliberately targeted" UNIFIL installations and workers in Lebanon. What, exactly made that "apparent?" Other than Annan's historic hatred against Israel, that is.

UNIFIL's U.N. flag was flown beside the flag of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. It is possible Hezbollah terrorists were firing at Israeli troops from UNIFIL's area. It's also possible that Annan left the impotent do-nothing UNIFIL in S. Lebanon for almost 30 years, since 1978, to assure that Israel would not attack Hezbollah.

It is also possible---even likely---that the present pro-Hezbollah leader of Lebanon and some Hezbollah terrorists were brought into elected office by unlawful votes of the one million Syrians who were re-settled by Syria into Lebanon and never left, as well as the Syrian secret intelligence operatives who did not leave Lebanon along with the pressured-out Syrian army. And by the many thousands of Syrian "guest workers" who are not Lebanese citizens.

When Israel first took strong action against Hezbollah following the recent kidnappings and attacks by Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon and Hamas terrorists in Gaza, Palestinian Territories, I saw Annan on FNS defending Syria and Iran as "friendly governments" and characterizing the battles as between "the governments of Israel and Hezbollah."

Since when is Hezbollah a "government?" It is not the official government of Lebanon, even though it has taken over many of the functions of government---the ones that give Hezbollah control over the Lebanese people who have become dependent on Hezbollah and Iran's money for many basic needs.

Annan, as Secretary General of the U.N., has been calling for urgent humanitarian relief for the people of Lebanon. He has not once called for any humanitarian relief for the long-suffering innocent people of Israel who are the victims of thousands of Iran and Syria-supplied rockets and missiles fired indiscriminately into heavily populated cities with the sole aim of killing as many Israelis as possible---men, women and children.

Annan's using his position at the U.N. to run around the world and in front of every possible videocam and mike in a desperate attempt to save Hezbollah from sure defeat demonstrates his pro-terrorist agenda and where his true allegiance lies.

Annan is not with us or with democracy. He is with the terrorists and the terrorist nations Iran and Syria. No doubt he is himself an Islamo-fascist Muslim. His ideology and agenda have infected the United Nations itself and relegated it to being the corrupt and worthless failure that it is.

An excerpted lead-in below, the rest at the link provided.
"Annan pushes for an immediate cease-fire" here

"U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan called for participants at a Mideast conference Wednesday to push for an immediate cease-fire to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas, and he said an international force was vital to a peaceful solution...."

Big win for private property owners in Ohio: Ohio Supreme Court rejected taking of property through eminent domain.

This is great news for the citizens of Ohio and throughout the United States. It is a victory over unjust "eminent domain" conscription of private property for the economic gain of a private corporation and greedy local government and will serve as an important precedent-setting case and determiner of what legally constitutes "public use," "public good," and "deterioration."

The Court ruled that there has to be a higher threshhold for a determination of "deterioration" of a property, for it is a nebulous and subjective term that can be abused in the condemnation process. As presently used in many states since Kelo, "deterioration" is in the eye of whomever is making a grab for a private individual's property for other than public use and without just cause.

This ruling is also a strong rejection of the notorious Kelo decision that allowed the taking of an 84 year old woman's home of many years---a nice home that was in very good condition---for private economic development that would have a higher tax base.

The ruling against Mrs. Kelo in Connecticut was a travesty. Conversely, the City of Norwood, Ohio, lost their "eminent domain" case against two couples because they didn't follow their state's constitution, they wanted the homes condemned to make way for private economic development, and they claimed "deterioration" when it did not exist (just like in Kelo).

More below and here.
"Ohio Court Rejects Eminent Domain"

"The Ohio Supreme Court ruled unanimously on Wednesday that economic development isn't a sufficient reason under the state constitution to justify taking homes, putting a halt to a $125 million project of offices, shops and restaurants in a Cincinnati suburb that officials said would create jobs and add tax revenue.

The case was the first challenge of property rights laws to reach a state high court since the U.S. Supreme Court last summer allowed municipalities to seize homes for use by a private developer...

Property rights' advocates, business groups and backers of city planning were watching the Ohio case because of the precedent it could set. The ruling comes a year after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in a case from New London, Conn., that cities can take land for shopping malls or other private development...

In the ruling, O'Connor said cities may consider economic benefits but that courts deciding such cases in the future must "apply heightened scrutiny" to assure private citizens' property rights.
Targeting property because it is in a deteriorating area also is unconstitutional because the term is too vague and requires speculation, the court found...

"There are now 28 states that have taken legislative steps to protect owners more after that decision, and this case is the next movement in that trend... other courts are going to begin rejecting that terrible decision..."

Victor Davis Hanson: On why it's O.K. for Israel to now "unload on jihadists"... with much of the world's tacit approval...

Folks, this is a powerful analysis by Victor Davis Hanson, "A Strange War: Israel is at last being given an opportunity to unload on jihadists," of the welcome job Israel is at last able to perform in isolating and stomping Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists, while their patron-states Iran and Syria---who necessarily have to stay on the carping-and-threatening-only sidelines---are more and more isolated and viewed as pariah nations.

This is the view even in the Middle East, where a number of countries refuse to either support Hezbollah's and Hamas' current unrestrained and disproportionate terrorist attacks on Israel or condemn Israel's hitting the terrorists back in Lebanon and Gaza.

Call it whatever you want. I call it poetic justice. Especially when the U.S. refuses to interfere with Israel's prosecution of its self-defense in the face of Islamo-fascist terrorism and when Iran and Syria know that if they openly attack Israel or interfere directly in Lebanon or Gaza, the U.S. will help Israel smack them down and remove their WMD capabilities before they get an opportunity to use them.

It appears that Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas are accumulating a significant amount of egg on their all-of-a-sudden less-boasting faces. They are now reduced to holding the weak government in Lebanon hostage, intimidating them to the point of announcing they will support Hezbollah in battle if Israel invades Lebanon. I saw the hesitant, unconvincing announcement a few minutes ago on FNC. It was a feeble and uninspired declaration of their will to fight.

The sad truth is that their rag-tag troops would be very little help to terrorists-for-hire Hezbollah and would probably be shoved out in front as human shields for the only-brave-when-planting-IEDs, beheading innocents, firing missiles provided to them by their terrorist patron-states, and hiding behind civilian populations.

Read some of Hanson's comments below, all at the above link.
"Sum up the declarations of Hezbollah’s leaders, Syrian diplomats, Iranian nuts, West Bank terrorists, and Arab commentators — and this latest Middle East war seems one of the strangest in a long history of strange conflicts. For example, have we ever witnessed a conflict in which one of the belligerents — Iran — that shipped thousands of rockets into Lebanon, and promises that it will soon destroy Israel, vehemently denies that its own missile technicians are on the ground in the Bekka Valley. Wouldn’t it wish to brag of such solidarity?

Or why, after boasting of the new targets that his lethal missiles will hit in Israel, does Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (“We are ready for it — war, war on every level”) now harp that Israel is hitting too deep into Lebanon? Don’t enemies expect one another to hit deep? Isn’t that what “war on every level” is all about...?

After promising us all year that he was going to “wipe out” Israel, is not this the moment for Mr. Ahmadinejad to strike? And why — when Hezbollah rockets are hidden in apartment basements, then brought out of private homes to target civilians in Israel — would terrorists who exist to murder noncombatants complain that some “civilians” have been hit...?

We can answer these absurdities by summing up the war very briefly. Iran and Syria feel the noose tightening around their necks — especially the ring of democracies in nearby Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, and perhaps Lebanon. Even the toothless U.N. finally is forced to focus on Iranian nukes and Syrian murder plots. And neither Syria can overturn the Lebanese government nor can Iran the Iraqi democracy. Instead, both are afraid that their rhetoric may soon earn some hard bombing, since their “air defenses” are hardly defenses at all...

For their part, the terrorist killers hope to kidnap, ransom, and send off missiles, and then, when caught and hit, play the usual victim card of racism, colonialism, Zionism, and about every other -ism that they think will win a bailout from some guilt-ridden, terrorist-frightened, Jew-hating, or otherwise oil-hungry Western nation.

The only difference from the usual scripted Middle East war is that this time, privately at least, most of the West, and perhaps some in the Arab world as well, want Israel to wipe out Hezbollah, and perhaps hit Syria or Iran. The terrorists and their sponsors know this, and rage accordingly when their military impotence is revealed to a global audience — especially after no reprieve is forthcoming to save their “pride” and “honor.”

After all, for every one Israeli Hezbollah kills, they lose ten...

What should the United States do? If it really cares about human life and future peace, then we should talk ad nauseam about “restraint” and “proportionality” while privately assuring Israel the leeway to smash both Hamas and Hezbollah — and humiliate Syria and Iran, who may well come off very poorly from their longed-for but bizarre war.

Only then will Israel restore some semblance of deterrence and strengthen nascent democratic movements in both Lebanon and even the West Bank. This is the truth that everyone from London to Cairo knows, but dares not speak. So for now, let us pray that the brave pilots and ground commanders of the IDF can teach these primordial tribesmen a lesson that they will not soon forget — and thus do civilization’s dirty work... is time to stop the silly slurs that American policy in the Middle East is either in shambles or culpable for the present war. In fact, if we keep our cool, the Bush doctrine is working... Israel is at last being given an opportunity to unload on jihadists; that was impossible during the Arafat fraud that grew out of the Oslo debacle....

There is no longer empathy for poor Islamist “freedom fighters.” The truth is that it is an open question as to which regime — Iran or Syria — is the greater international pariah... And for all the efforts of the BBC, Reuters, Western academics, and the horde of appeasers and apologists that usually bail these terrorist killers out when their rhetoric finally outruns their muscle, this time they can’t.

Instead, a disgusted world secretly wants these terrorists to get what they deserve. And who knows: This time they just might."

What restraint and proportionality look like in Kofi Annan's United Nations bubble...

Kofi Annan's "common ground" means Israel's ground is up for grabs by Islamo-fascist terrorists barbaric enough to slaughter Israelis and take it... And Israel can't fight back to defend it.

In Annan's philosophy of equivalence, all things are equal as long as Israel employs the U.N.'s mandate of "restraint" and proportionality." In Kofi-speak, that means Israel gives in to annihilation and Islamo-fascists take Israel's historic homeland.

Seems pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic Kofi believes some Middle-East entities' rights are just more equal than Israel's rights---especially its right to exist. What's totally missing from his discriminatory idea of "common ground" is common sense.

Funny, the Arab world is not rushing to the aid of Hezbollah's leader in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah...

Folks, in today's nysun, there is a very interesting column, "Leading Saudi Sheik Pronounces Fatwa Against Hezbollah," that explains why Muslims are not only not unified in support of Hezbollah and their kidnapping of Israeli troops in Lebanon and Gaza, they are also not rushing to the defense of Hezbollah spiritual leader in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah.

Further, they are condemning Iran's imperial ambitions and their (Hezbollah) proxies' showering missiles onto Israel and running raids across Israel's borders.

It appears that infighting among various Islamic sects is also at the heart of the bloody sectarian violence going on in Iraq that threatens to weaken the new government and drag the country into a wider civil war.

It also appears Hezbollah was laboring under the false impression that the entire Arab world would rush to help them, for it has not occurred.

Below are some excerpts, the rest at the above link. There is also more information on this topic at jayreding where he links to an excellent Amir Taheri column.

Jay says: "... At one point, the divisions in the Arab world between Shi’ite and Sunni were secondary to pan-Arab nationalism and anti-Israel sentiment.

Today, those divisions have come back with a vengeance, not only in Iraq, but across the Arab world. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other predominantly Sunni states failed to strongly support Hizb’Allah last week when the fighting broke out...

The only way that Hizb’Allah can win is if Israel backs down and allows them to survive. They appear to have to intention of doing that – Hizb’Allah is on the path of destruction, and that should send a lesson to anyone else who wishes to follow in their footsteps..."
NY Sun: "One of Saudi Arabia's leading Wahhabi sheiks, Abdullah bin Jabreen has issued a strongly worded religious edict, or fatwa, declaring it unlawful to support, join or pray for Hezbollah, the Shiite militias lobbing missiles into northern Israel.

The day after Hezbollah abducted two Israeli soldiers on July 12, Sheik Hamid al-Ali issued an informal statement titled "The Sharia position on what is going on." In it, the Kuwaiti based cleric condemned the imperial ambitions of Iran regarding Hezbollah's cross border raid.

The surprising move demonstrates that Sunni Muslim fundamentalists in the Middle East are deeply divided over whether Moslems should support Hezbollah, Iran's Shiite proxies in the war raging in Lebanon...."

Once again, the Secretary General of the United nations acts to protect the terrorists, rather than democratic member nation Israel...

And, once again, U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan acts, inappropriately, to condemn the democratic nation of Israel for protecting itself from unilateral terrorist-initiated attacks... by Hezbollah in Lebanon and by Hamas in Gaza. And to demand a cease-fire.

Just how does a sovereign nation effect and maintain a cease-fire with terrorists---a cease-fire to which the terrorists will commit and that they will maintain? How do you take the word of terrorists who are committed to your destruction?

Strange, isn't it, for the leader of an international body set up to promote peace to not be concerned about terrorist attacks on Israel, yet to be concerned for the protection of the ability of terrorists to prosecute attacks against the lawful sovereign nation of Israel---in order to fulfill their messianic mission to annihilate all Israelis?

It's not only strange..., it's criminal. It is providing aid and comfort to the terrorists---and to the terrorist nations of Iran and Syria, for whom they are surrogates.

It's time to quit talking around the facts and picking on Israel for defending itself. And it's time to hold the terrorist nations of Iran and Syria accountable. Now.

I am proud that America is standing with Israel and that the U.S. House of Representatives passed a Resolution today supporting Israel and condemning the terrorists, just as the U.S. Senate did yesterday. The approval of the House Resolution was just announced on Fox News Channel.

Breaking News: Corrupt U.N. Sec. General Kofi Annan again sides with the terrorists against Israel by condemning Israel...

No surprise here! Today, Kofi Annan again abused his position of power at the United Nations by advocating for both Lebanon and Gaza, from where Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists have initiated attacks on Israel, and by condemning Israel for "disproportionate violence" and using defense initiatives to protect its citizens, nation and sovereignty.

It was an inappropriate and ill-timed imperial grab of power and authority for the U.N., through condemnation of Israel and a demand for an immediate cease-fire. It was also unacceptable discrimination against U.N. member-nation Israel and a slap in the face of the United States, which was known to support Israel's right to both exist and defend itself.

A cease-fire would benefit only the terrorists, who could then re-group, recoup their losses, and remain in control of a large portion of Lebanon. And would leave Israel to face those same terrorists again in the future, possibly better armed and fortified next time.

Annan did not bother to mention the "disproportionate violence" and lack of "restraint" of Hezbollah in launching almost 2,000 missiles, indiscriminately and unprovoked, into the sovereign nation of Israel---from the sovereign nation of Lebanon.

The sovereign nation of Lebanon is, by international law, responsibile for any and all attacks launched against a foreign nation from within their territory---even if those attacks are committed by terrorists operating unilaterally from their territory.

Lebanon has been required since 2004, by U.N. Resolution 1559, to disarm Hezbollah and use the Lebanese Army to police its border with Israel and prevent attacks against Israel. They have failed to implement and enforce Resolution 1559 or to seek help from the international community in doing so.

Annan sympathizes with Lebanon and Gaza and their suffering injury and destruction from battles that originated, in the first instance, from their own respective countries---while not expressing similar concern for Israelis who have suffered or been kidnapped, wounded, or killed by Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists.

Most of the terrorist attacks on Israel are coming from Hezbollah-controlled areas of Lebanon, some parts of which even the Lebanese Army is forbidden from entering. Hezbollah is operating as a terrorist state within a sovereign state and the Lebanese government and army have, de facto, allowed them to do so.

Hezbollah is also using the Lebanese people as human shields to assure that innocent civilians are killed by Israel---because it serves the terrorists' political mission that they have the deaths of innocents to scream about to the international community and engender more support for Hezbollah and Hamas and their patron-states, Iran and Syria. They strive to make Israel a pariah nation that people of countries the terrorists occupy will believe is O.K. to wipe off the map.

It is clear that Annan is trying to prejudice the Security Council's actions when they meet in the near future, as well as prejudice the outcome of their deliberations by making up-front declarations as to what has to happen with regard to Israel's defensive actions. He is also seizing this as an opportunity to influence handing over disputed Israel-Lebanon border territory along the Bekaa Valley, including Chabaa Farms, to Lebanon. It appears he wants make a permanent "blue line" that accommodates Lebanon and the terrorists.

Annan has demonstrated that the U.N. is squarely in the terrorists' camp on day 9 of the Israeli military's defense of Israel against aggression and war initiated by Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon and Hamas terrorists in Gaza---terrorists who are proxies for their terrorist-master Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in Iran and his lackey, Bashar al-Assad of Syria. Indeed, both the President of Iran and Secretary General of Hezbollah have overtly declared war against both Israel and the United States.

So, here we have---in plain view---the fact that U.N. Secretary General Annan (today) and his sidekick at the U.N. Mark Malloch Brown (a few days ago) are on the record as being against Israel and "with the terrorists"---not "with us." "Us" would be all democratic free nations that operate under the rule of law. Israel is a democratic free nation that operates under the rule of law and did not initiate the present conflicts in Lebanon and Gaza.

It is very telling that, during Annan's address today, he did not ever mention the words "terrorists" or "terrorism." Not even once. Nor did he condemn the terrorists and their terrorism. He was too busy condemning Israel, as usual.

Annan did bring up the subject of INIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon here) and the fact that its mandate expires on July 31, 2006. INIFIL has been a totally worthless "peacekeeping force" whose flag has flown in the Bekaa Valley right next to the flag of Hezbollah, where INIFIL has done absolutely nothing to stop the illegal terrorist actions of Hezbollah against Israel. This is more proof that the U.N. is "with the terrorists." INIFIL's mandate should absolutely not be renewed.

If there is to be an international force in the area to keep the peace and fully implement Resolution 1559, it should be under the auspices of NATO or a newly-created international force---totally apart from the corrupt and feckless United Nations.

It is probably best that Annan revealed his terrorist-hugging, biased position in his speech today, for now Israel will know for certain that they have to go on and totally get the job done in both Lebanon and Gaza and deep-six any opportunity for the United Nations to muck-around in any decision-making process about how Israel puts an end to the terrorist menace once and for all.

Now we know who fuels the fires of Hell...

None other than the long-term terror-masters of Iran and Syria and their terror-cult surrogates Hezbollah and Hamas... as they eagerly ignite and stoke their fires and press genocide against Israel.

In the presence of such evil, exactly what will the rest of the world do to help Israel...?

We need to observe this carefully, so that we will know who will help whoever is next.

Mad Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Boss-Mullah Khamenei's terrorist chef, whips up a terrorist brew...

This war-hungry terrorist-bully front for Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei of Iran threatens Israel and other free nations with World War III... as he supplies Iran's terrorist hit-thugs, fuels Iran's home-cooked war against Israel, and leads the chorus of "blame Israel first" for the fallout from Iran's metasticizing terrorism...

And he expects the rest of the world to swallow his terrorist pigswill...

It's better luck in the next world...

"Restraint" by Israel = Genocide perpetrated by Iran through its Hezbollah terrorist surrogates...

Folks, here is a *****Five Star, must read column that provides an astute analysis of the history of free nations' "restraint" and appeasement in the face of terrorism and why it is irrational to demand "restraint" now on the part of Israel, a democratic nation that has been subjected to an unprovoked attack against it by Iranian and Syrian-backed Hezbollah terrorists.

Israel has already been pushed into years of such "restraint" and appeasement of Islamo-fascists while they have been the victims of continuous terrorist attacks against their law-abiding citizens and their lawful nation.

The logical conclusion of the analysis is that, for the Israelis---and for all free nations---restraint in the fight against Islamo-fascists terrorists means genocide for the targets of those terrorists who rely on their prey's restraint and willingness to appease. Restraint and appeasement haven't worked in the past and they won't work now.

The terrorists must be stopped now and their means to prosecute terrorism must be obliterated. Every time they manage to survive to terrorize again, it grows their terror cult exponentially---like a multi-headed hydra that, when one head is cut off, others take its place.

You cannot simply cut off the terrorist multi-headed monster's heads, you must destroy the source and power that feeds the monster and enables all the heads to grow. That would include Iran and Syria and their Hezbollah and Hamas surrogates who are attacking Israel or dispatched around the world to terrorize free nations.

Restraint in the face of terrorism is weakness that sacrifices all that is good to the insatiable appetite of evil.

A few excerpts of the column are below, the rest at the above link.
"Israel naturally reacted with force to the provocations engineered by Iran and Syria, aimed to divert international pressure from Iran and their development of nuclear weapons. There is little doubt that Hezbollah’s offensive, directed from Iran, was meant on one hand to divert attention from an impending UN Security Council consideration of sanctions against the Teheran regime, and on the other, show Sunni Muslim jihadists that Teheran is not forsaking its "Muslim brothers" in the struggle against the 'Infidel enemy...'

...The current Israeli operation in Lebanon must be allowed to achieve a decisive goal - the elimination of Hezbollah - Iran’s terrorist operational arm. Otherwise, Iran’s fanatical Muslim leaders will drive the region and the world into total war. The one word the Bush Administration should refrain from using at this time is restraint. Half measures by Israel will only invite escalated aggression in the future..."

Breaking News! Iran's Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon bombed Nazareth, the holy birthplace of Jesus...

Breaking News! Fox News Channel has just announced that a Katusha missile fired from Lebanon has hit the holy city of Nazareth, killing at least two Israeli children. The missile was fired either by Iran's proxy in Lebanon---Hezbollah---or by Iranian Republican Guard troops, 200 of whom are reported to be inside Lebanon assisting Hezbollah in their unprovoked hostage-taking and bombing attack against the nation of Israel.

To date Hezbollah has rained down over 1,500 missiles into Israel, one of which hit an Israeli ship and was a longe-range guided ballistic missile believed to have been provided by Iran and brought into Lebanon from Syria. It is also believed that the elite Iranian Republican Guard troops either fired or aided in the firing of this high-tech guided missile that hit the Israeli ship, killing four Israelis.

Update: Breitbart is reporting that "A Hezbollah rocket slammed into a building Wednesday in the mainly Arab town of Nazareth, killing two children and wounding at least two other people, Israeli authorities said... The two children were killed by a direct hit from a Katyusha rocket on the building, the army said.

Nazareth, in northern Israel, is revered as the hometown of Jesus and is filled with churches. It was not immediately clear if any holy sites were damaged. The town is about 19 miles from the Lebanese border..."

Update #2: The death toll from the Hezbollah terrorist-fired missile that hit the holy city of Nazareth in northern Israel is reported, by FNC, to now be three.

Also, Haaretz reports that the first two children originally reported killed were Arab Israeli children. "Rabia Abed Taluzi and his older brother Mahmoud, were killed by a direct hit from a rocket in the yard of their family home on their way to visit their uncle in a nearby house, the Israel Defense Forces said.... A second rocket struck a building in the city's commercial center. Smoke billowed from a damaged building and its roof appeared mostly destroyed... Mohammed Assawi, who saw the fatal attack, told Channel 10 television that the rocket that killed the two children struck in the middle of a downtown street..."

To Hezbollah... with LUV... from the superior force of brave and precision-efficient Israelis....!

Iran's barbarian terrorists are now getting their long overdue just desserts. Soon, Lebanon's floundering Democracy will have some solid ground underneath it, in which to put down strong roots.

It will be a gift from God, through Israel's courageous actions, not from Islamo-fascist zealots who have perverted their own religion.

(Hat tip to Nick Anderson for political 'toon.)

Who's grinding out orders, money, weapons and tunes for Hezbollah terrorists to march to...? Could it be their Iranian terror-masters...?

Yup! You got it. This is the organizational hierarchy and chain of command... from the terror-grinding Boss-Mullah Khamenei in Iran... to Iran's surrogate-monkey Basar Assad in Syria... to Iran's wind-up barbarian-monkeys---better known as Hezbollah-terrorists---in Lebanon.

But Hezbollah doesn't determine Iran's "official policy." They just carry out Iran's official terrorism for them... pseudo-unofficially. You know the drill. Terrorist-monkey get order. Terrorist-monkey do.

And anyone who still believes Iran isn't the evil hand cranking the terror-grinder..., deserves to be stupid.

Historically disproportionate anti-Semite scapegoating of Israel...

These always-blame-Israel-first anti-Semites are kicking and scapegoating the only nation willing to stand up to Hizbollah and stop the scourge of Iran's Islamo-fascist terrorism from spreading to Eurasia... Or, as Bat Y'or would say... "Eurabia."

Then again, Shakespeare would likely have said to these shrinking-Europhiles: "Thou venomed lily-livered louts! Hast thy never an eye in thy heads? Would thou wert clean enough to spit upon!"
(from Macbeth, Henry IV, and Timon of Athens)

I'll second that...!

Democrat Party meltdown in Minnesota... as DFL-endorsed Matt Entenza drops out of MN Attorney General race just 6 hours before filing deadline...

Big surprise! DFL's endorsed candidate for MN Attorney General, Matt Entenza has quit the race and will also not run to retain his seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives where he was Minority Leader.

This is a big plus for Republicans, especially since the deadline for filing occurred less than six hours before Entenza announced he was pulling out of the AG race. Republicans can remind voters of the problems about Entenza's dishonesty, his dirt-digging opposition research against another Democrat contender, and his wife's questionable $30M in stock options and their use.

A few excerpts below, or read it all here.
"Entenza quits attorney general race: Attacks on honesty, wife's stock options fuel move."

"Buffeted by questions about his credibility and by controversy over his wife's multimillion-dollar stock options from a health-care company, DFL endorsee Matt Entenza dropped out of the race for state attorney general Tuesday... less than six hours before the deadline for filing for office, sent shock waves across the state's political landscape. Entenza... does not plan to file to seek re-election to the House, according to a campaign spokesman...

His troubles began with the revelation that he had hired a Chicago opposition-research firm that investigated fellow DFLer Mike Hatch, the current attorney general who is the party's endorsee for governor...

Republicans have capitalized on the spectacle of DFL disunity and they are not through yet... Republican Party Chairman Ron Carey filed a complaint with the Campaign Finance and Public Disclsoure Board, alleging that Entenza's use of personal funds to pay for the research is a violation of state law that requires disclosure of expenditures for political purposes.

"We have seen an unprecedented DFL meltdown," Carey said, "as their candidates serve up more whoppers than Burger King" Carey said Hatch still needs to answer questions, such as how he discovered that Entenza was digging into his record and personal life, and what Entenza was looking for...

State Rep. Jeff Johnson, R-Plymouth, the Republican candidate for attorney general, bluntly accused Entenza not only of changing his story as details emerged, but of outright lying...
Johnson said Entenza initially didn't tell the truth when he told reporters more than a year ago that there was no truth to rumors that he was doing opposition research on Hatch. Johnson also said Entenza has tried to deceive the public on the motive for his research, the extent of the digging and the cost...

A St. Paul attorney... Jennifer Mattson... said she saw an "irreconcilable conflict" in Entenza's pursuit of the attorney general's office which, under Hatch, is investigating $30 million in stock options granted to Quam by UnitedHealth Group, where Entenza's wife is a top executive..."

The New York Times responds to its hemorrhage of readers by shrinking its newspaper...

What! Only 5% smaller? Shouldn't The Times be at least as proportionate as they demand that Israel be? We all know their readership has gone down more than a measly 5%. How about cutting down by a reasonable 75%, leaving only the entertainment section, the stockmarket pages and the Bestseller List? That works for me...

Isn't it more than just passing telling that the three main MSM anti-Bush, anti-Iraq War, hard-left flamethrowers---The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post---are all three shrinking to cut losses due to their own self-inflicted wounds.

First went the credibility, ethics and morals of these liberal elite rags and their arrogant publishers and editors. Then went their readership and column space. No surprise there!

Soooo...., why not just whole-hog GO already?

"NYT to cut paper size and close plant"

The New York Times Co... plans to narrow the size of its flagship newspaper and close a printing plant, resulting in the loss of 250 jobs, the company said in a story posted on its Web site late on Monday...

The newspaper will be narrower by 1 1/2 inches. The redesign will result in the loss of 250 production jobs... The New York Times said it expected the changes to result in savings of $42 million. The narrower format, offset by some additional pages, will reduce the space the paper has for news by 5 percent...

The Times will join a list of several other papers from The Washington Post to the Los Angeles Times that have reduced their size as they cut newsprint and other production costs and try to stem a loss of readers and advertising to the Internet and other media..."

Iranian Hizbollah insists it takes orders from Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei...

Well folks, the world is getting a lot of doublespeak from Iran about its culpability for planning, directing, arming and funding the Devil's work being done against Israel from Lebanon and Gaza by Iran's "unofficial" terrorist arm Hizbollah.

Iran wants to laud Hizbollah, brag about their terrorists' ability to destroy Israel, and treaten to wreak havoc on Israeli and United States interests around the world. But they don't want to be blamed for it. So they say "Hizbollah does not implement official (Iranian) policy."

Well, DUH...! Who cares whether Iran calls it "official policy" or not. They are the ones responsible for what Hizbollah does. Hizbollah is a creation of Iran. It takes its direction from and answers to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei who is the head honcho of the axis of evil terrorist nation of Iran. Khamenei is Mad Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's boss-mullah. Mad Mahmoud is just the lunatic they push out in front to cover for the terrorist mullahs.

More below and here.
"Iran's Hizbollah says ready to attack US, Israel"

"Iran's Hizbollah, which claims links to the Lebanese group of the same name, said on Tuesday it stood ready to attack Israeli and U.S. interests worldwide...

"They have been trained and they can become fully armed. We are ready to dispatch them to every corner of the world to jeopardise Israel and America's interests. We are only waiting for the Supreme Leader's green light to take action. If America wants to ignite World War Three... we welcome it," he (Iranian Hizbollah's spokesman Mojtaba Bigdeli) said.

Iranian religious organisations have made great public show of recruiting volunteers for "martyrdom-seeking operations" in recent years, usually threatening U.S. interests in case of any attack against the Islamic Republic's nuclear programme...

Despite Iranian Hizbollah's insistence that it takes orders from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, government ministries say Hizbollah does not implement official policy. ...Tehran says it has not contributed troops or weapons in the latest violence. Israel says Iranian armaments have been fired against it...."

The terrorist rats in the Middle East 'hood...

They toyed with what they thought was an Israeli mouse...

Now, they're getting smacked-around the Hezbollah and Iranian Republican Guard's terrorist neighborhood in Lebanon... with their transportation routes and exits obliterated... while their leaders and supporter-governments of Syria and Iran hurl threats and warnings at Israel and the United States should they defend Israel from terrorist aggression and attacks coming into Israel from Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria.

What colossal nerve to instigate a terrorist offensive and demand that their victims not respond to defend themselves! Where is the proportionate condemnation by other nations of the terrorists' disproportionate firing of hundreds of missiles into Israel to kill innocent Israelis?

Who among the world community can justify sympathy and concern for Palestinian or Lebanese citizens and terrorists under return fire brought on by their unprovoked terrorist attacks on Israel---while at the same time remaining permanently silent about the terrorists' habitual on-going slaughter of Israeli citizens?

Has the rampant, amoral historic maligning and persecution of the Jewish people around the world---and particularly those who have made their home, lawfully, in the nation of Israel---resulted in this cold turning of a blind eye by so many among the world community when Israelis are set upon by Islamo-fascist terrorists whose aim is to annihilate them and remove Israel from the map?

If so, they need to somehow find their souls, for they have surely lost them.

John Bolton provided strong leadership, succeeded in getting unanimous Resolution against N. Korea in U.N. Security Council

Breaking News! Great News, just aired by Fox News Channel...

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton succeeded today, after his strong leadership and almost daily televised communication with the American people et al, in getting a forceful Resolution passed unanimously by the U.N. Security Council to hold North Korea to account for its violations of the requirements of the international community. The Resolution requires that N. Korea uphold its agreed-upon commitments/treaties, cease all violations of those agreements, suspend all missile tests now, and cease proliferation of banned weapons and weapons-technology sales.

As Bolton said in his strong address following the unanimous vote of the Council, "this is the first such Resolution since 1993." He added that "we look forward to N. Korea's unconditional and immediate compliance with this Resolution."

It took unrelenting negotiation and convincing to get Russia and China to finally reach the point of agreeing to sign on to a Resolution with teeth in it, but they finally came around after communications with N. Korea did not produce acceptable results.

It probably didn't hurt that, in the latter part of this week, Bolton openly responded to a press question about what China would do---by responding that a vote would be called for and it would be up to China make their decision whether to vote in agreement, abstain or have the world see them veto this important and necessary Resolution.

It probably also didn't hurt that the G-8 met during this same time frame and the U.S. took the bold step of nixing membership in the WTO for Russia. This comes at a time when Russia is forcefully striving to rebuild its influence, particularly among the breakaway states of the former U.S.S.R., many of which have chosen to establish democratic forms of government following the breakup of that Communist amalgam. Ukraine and Georgia, for example.

It also comes at a time that Russian President Vladimir Putin is back-sliding and reversing democratic reforms that took place in Russia following that dissolution. Putin's distaste for President George W. Bush's recent criticisms about his back-sliding resulted in his taking public potshots at Bush---at a highly visible press event in St. Petersburg, Russia, where both leaders took questions. Not exactly a diplomatic or dignified action on the part of Bush's G-8 host.

At 1:30 p.m. today, following the Security Council's vote on the N. Korea Resolution, N. Korea's Ambassador to the U.N. Pak Gil Yon said that N. Korea totally rejects the resolution. This comes as no surprise. What remains to be seen is whether N. Korea will actually follow through on their choice to fly in the face of the international community and remain a genocidal pariah nation that is sustained by handouts from other nations---handouts that enable it to further build its expanding nuclear military state on the corpses of millions of its citizens it has willfully starved to death.

Now that we have a Resolution against renegade N. Korea, we need to get a strong U.N. Resolution condemning and prohibiting renegade Islamo-fascist Iran's continued nuclear development---which is designed to provide them with nuclear weapons they can use against Israel and the West and to dominate and/or subjugate their Middle East neighbors---and requiring Iran to open their entire nuclear development and weapons facilities for inspection and monitoring.

Such a resolution should include automatic and immediate sanctions and blockades, should Iran fail to abide by the Resolution. If those actions don't deter axis-of-evil terrorist Iran, then we have no choice but to destroy their nuclear program in its entirety, remove the messianic terrorist Mullahs and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from power, and turn the Iranian government over to its people---to establish a government of, by and for the Iranian people.

Why not a Marshall-style plan for Middle East terrorist supporting and exporting countries like Iran and its sidekick Syria to help their citizenry transition to free and democratic governments? A planned process where education in democratic governance precedes turnover, in increments, of the full powers of government---to build a government that has a body of law that is not centered around the now-distorted anti-democratic Islamic religion with its totally discriminatory and anti-democratic Shari'ia law.

A dark age culture of barbarism, terrorism and death has no place in a civilized modern world.

More Breaking News: FNC is reporting Valerie Plame, Joe Wilson IV's wife, is suing Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby & "John Does" 1 - 10...

This is also a developing story at Drudge Report. Neither FNC nor Drudge have the details of the suit yet.

However, I think this is a wonderful opportunity to get depositions and testimony from the horses' mouths. The horses I'm referring to are Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson, IV, her Democrat political operative husband who has already been proven to have lied about his findings in Niger---where he went on a junket, after having been promoted for the job by none other than CIA non-covert analyst wifey-poo herself---to find out about Saddam Hussein's efforts to obtain yellow-cake for his nuclear weapons of mass destruction program.

That politically opportunist mission was then turned into a materially false attack on President George W. Bush and his administration by said Joe Wilson, who accused the White House of attacking his veracity and exposing his wife in retaliation for his report.

Wilson and his wife engineered a political hit on Bush and the Iraq War, then screamed retaliation and exposure to try to get someone in the Bush Administraton indicted and "frog-marched out of the White House." They failed. Independent Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald indicted no one for outing Valerie Plame.

As Bob Novak, who was on Fox News Channel shows last night and this morning, explained: Valerie Plame Wilson was not a covert agent and had been at an analyst desk job for three years and no underlying crime was found to have been committed. In other words, there was no there there.

Soooo...., it will be interesting to see just what all is in Plame-Wilson's political lawsuit. And what information she and hubby will have to give up in discovery.

In my opinion, Cheney, Rove and Libby should counter-sue for expended legal fees and pain and suffering for having been forced to defend themselves against false charges, slander, libel and damage to their professional reputations by Plame, Wilson and their hard-left mainstream media cheerleaders and publicists.

Maybe Libby will be able to use this lawsuit to obtain some of the information denied to him in defending himself from a specious political prosecution related to the case that was no case.

Update: FNC's Brit Hume just reported that Valerie Plame-Wilson's basis for her suit is the destruction of her career, conspiracy, and violation of her husband's civil rights. Pardon me, but wouldn't Joe Wilson be the only one who would have standing to sue for a violation of his civil rights?

Sounds like just another bizarre junk lawsuit to me. Something they can hype up, gain more notoriety out of and then write a book to capitalize on.

Breaking News! U.S. again used its veto to block an anti-Israel United Nations resolution to keep Israel from defending itself from terrorist attacks

Breaking news! Breitbart is reporting that the U.S. has vetoed the U.N. resolution "urging end to Israeli attacks in Gaza."

As packed as the Security Council is with anti-U.S., anti-Israel, anti-Iraq War nations, it's no surprise that the majority voted for this resolution, while four lily-livered nations abstained and the U.S. had to veto it---rather than allow another anti-Semitic resolution to emerge from the anti-Semitic United Nations that has churned out a multitude of resolutions against Israel.

The corrupt U.N. has consistently supported Palestinian terrorism against Israel, as well as literally and admittedly supporting terrorist-funding by and through some of the U.N.'s 81 affiliated "humanitarian" agencies.

According to the just-posted column in Breitbart, "The United States vetoed a UN draft resolution that would have called for an end to Israeli attacks and "disproportionate use of force" in the Gaza Strip as well as for the release of a kidnapped Israeli soldier...

Explaining his negative vote, US Ambassador John Bolton described the text as "unbalanced" and was "not only untimely but also outmoded" because of the attacks against Israel by Lebanese Hezbollah militants and UN chief Kofi Annan's decision to send a crisis team to the region.

He said adoption of the resolution would have exacerbated tensions in the region and would have undermined "our vision of two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security..."

You can read the entire piece at the Breitbart link above.

Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei said "...Americans & Israelis are both politically paralyzed. Neither can take decisive action against Iran..."

According to Michael Ledeen in "The Same War: Hezbollah, natch," Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's top-boss---Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameni---also said of the United States and Israel, "neither can sustain prolonged conflict and significant casualties... Meanwhile..., the terrorists are all working for Iran, and we will expand the terror war."

Those stunning statements were made last year. They demonstrate that the Mullahs were planning to expand their terror war all along and are brazen enough to brag that all of the terrorists are in their employ. So, why have we been offering carrots to Iran's terrorist leaders, when their own plainly stated objectives clearly show they will only respond to sticks---and they are confident we dont have either the sticks or the stick-to-it-iveness it takes to sustain prolonged conflict or significant casualties because we are politically paralyzed?

From where did Iran's Supreme Leader draw these conclusions? There is one glaring answer. They have observed---no doubt with much glee---that the anti-war hard-left's political and media war against the Bush Administration on all fronts, sabotaging our intelligence community's efforts, and demoralizing our troops who are prosecuting the war have exacted a price too dear, making us appear to be in a weakened holding pattern and lacking the resolve to stay the course and win the war.

And, of course, they have been buying time to complete their nuclear enrichment in order to produce nuclear weapons, while toying with the goodie-bag-promoting appeasement negotiators as a cat toys with a mouse---before killing it. Not to satisfy the hunger for food. Only to satisfy the deep-seated hunger for the killing.

Actually, it is Iran et al who are between a rock and a hard place. First, they see that the war in Iraq has turned a corner, Iraqi civilians are now helping the war effort, and many of Iran's terrorists and terrorist leaders in Iraq have been killed. Second, they know they are in a battle against time for completion of their nuclear enrichment before the international effort to stop them gels.

So they stir up a hornet's nest for Israel on two fronts---to gin up Islamic support throughout the Middle East against Israel and the U.S.---and continue trying to foment civil war in Iraq by playing two ends against the middle and infiltrating Iraqi police ranks. All while saber-rattling and threatening all out devastating war.

Me, I believe terrorist Iran has over-played its hand and exposed its game plan. I also believe there is only a small window of opportunity to nip their outrageous terrorist offensive in the bud and hold them accountable. Hopefully, our government and allies will not drag their feet and fail to act strongly to stop Iran now---before that window slams shut and Iran's Islamo-fascist Supreme Leader, who is on a messianic mission, has his finger on the nuclear-weapons button.

Read about it in excerpts below and in Ledeen's *****Five Star, must read piece here.
"No one should have any lingering doubts about what’s going on in the Middle East. It’s war, and it now runs from Gaza into Israel, through Lebanon and thence to Iraq via Syria. There are different instruments, ranging from Hamas in Gaza to Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon and on to the multifaceted “insurgency” in Iraq. But there is a common prime mover, and that is the Iranian mullahcracy, the revolutionary Islamic fascist state that declared war on us 27 years ago and has yet to be held accountable.

It is very good news that the White House immediately denounced Iran and Syria, just as Ambassador Khalilzad had yesterday tagged the terrorist Siamese twins as sponsors of terrorism in Iraq.

For those who doubt the Iranian hand, remind yourself that Hezbollah is a wholly owned subsidiary of the mullahcracy (with Syria providing some supplies, and free run of the territory), and then read what Iraq the Model had to say...:

Hizbollah is Iran's and Syria's partner in feeding instability in Iraq as there were evidence that this terror group has a role in equipping and training insurgents in Iraq and Hizbollah had more than once openly showed support for the “resistance” in Iraq and sponsored the meetings of Baathist and radical Islamist militants who are responsible for most of the violence in Iraq.

Notice, please, that he says Iran “sponsored the meetings of Baathist and radical Islamist militants...” He is talking Sunnis here, the same Sunnis who, according to CIA deep thinkers and scads of academic experts, cannot possibly work closely with Shiites like, ahem, the mullahs of Tehran. Iraq the Model isn’t burdened by this wisdom, and so he just reports what he sees on the ground in his own country.

Notice also that over the weekend there was a “security summit” in Tehran, involving all of Iraq’s neighbors, at which Iran’s moonbat President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made one of his trademark understatements about Israel. “The existence of this regime will bring nothing but suffering and misery for people in the region,” he mildly commented, and then said that the anger of the people might soon “lead to a vast explosion that will know no boundaries. Sounds to me like he knew something before the rest of us..."

U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) and the rest of the hard-left ridiculed President Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI)...

Chappaquiddick-deserter Kennedy's never found a national defense effort or weapon he could like or vote for. Unless it belonged to the Viet Cong, the Soviet Union or Saddam Hussein.

Soooo...., who's yukking it up now....? Not so funny when it's a potential threat to this country, is it...?

Why..., it might even place the Kennedy compound at Cape Cod at greater risk than a mere wind farm he doesn't want sullying his seascape.

The hear, speak, see no evil appeasement team of the Clinton administration...

The Secretary of Defense, the President, the Secretary of State and the National Security Advisor didn't hear, see, speak of, or find anything they considered important enough to keep them from making a reckless deal with the be-deviled dictator of N. Korea who starved 2 million of his own people---to build a million-man military and nuclear weapons. Not smart move, that.

They didn't follow Ronald Reagan's shared wisdom, "trust, but verify." Madame Secretary Allbright and Kim Jong Il toasted the "trust" part. But the Clinton appeasement crowd didn't bother to "verify." And Clinton was too busy canoodling to care. Then, they passed the growing danger on to GW Bush's administration.

Today, they criticize Bush for not repeating their colossal folly. To their dismay, Bush won't wade into the treacherous waters of appeasement and bribery of a known violator of every treaty and agreement he's ever entered into.

Clinton's been there, done that. "W" ain't goin' there.

Bill Clinton's Secretary of State, Madeleine Allbright, toasted a fool's deal with the maniacal dictator of N. Korea...

A diplomatic appeasement and bribery affair to remember... as a failure that leaves us with a loose-cannon fascist dictator's finger on the nuclear button today...!

David Horowitz says The New York Times et al are committing espionage and sabotaging the war effort...

The anti-war hard-left New York Times receives a shellacking in a *****Five Star, must read column by David Horowitz, here, in which he shoots down their bass-ackwards rationale in defense of their receiving illegally-leaked national security secrets and willfully publishing them---placing our nation, our intel programs and our troops in danger.

Horowitz also takes the anti-war left's war against Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), which the collective left mocked as "Star Wars," to task. In today's world, with today's insane fascist dictators of N. Korea and Iran engaging in nuclear proliferation and/or nuclear blackmail, thank goodness we have the long-stalled SDI to perfect and use to defend us, our country and our allies.

Some excerpts from Horowitz' piece are below. The entire, somewhat lengthy piece is at the above link. It is well worth reading all of it---especially the critique of some actions of the Clinton administration.
"The Worst Defense"

"It’s been an interesting couple of weeks for looking at the war against the Islamo-fascists and other enemies of the United States. North Korea attempted to launch an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile capable of reaching American shores and one day carrying a nuclear warhead...

President Bush announced that anti-ballistic systems the United States was developing provided us with a good chance of intercepting the Korean missiles... But this is also no thanks to Democrats who have waged a ferocious 25-year war against the building of an anti-ballistic missile defense. The entire liberal arsenal was launched against this program... Left to Democrats... America would have no defense against the maniac in Pyongyang, Kim Jong-il.

Meanwhile, the New York Times and apparently now the New York Daily News, egged on by American radicals posing as civil libertarian activitists, are busily leaking national security secrets. The secrets are being provided by government agents, disgruntled with national policy, who are expressing their “dissent” by violating America’s espionage laws and endangering its citizens.

This is the situation we find ourselves in. And in this situation, the defense of those abetting elements in the government willing to betray us to our enemies is what? We are protecting the Constitution... We cannot prevail in the War on Terror if we cease to be who we are in the process... That is the defense. Tell that to Lincoln, who suspended habeas corpus to defend the Union and would have put the publisher and editor of the New York Times in jail long before this...

Liberals... and leftists... think this argument is not only the best defense of America in the wars that confront us, they think it is the best way to defend their own actions – actions which others can see are endangering our troops abroad and our citizens at home. In fact the argument that those who have declared war on the war policy are really defending America is the worst possible defense.

We live in a democracy... Breaking the law does not protect the law. Breaking national security laws betrays the nation; it does not defend it.

The government leakers who provided the Times with the information that won its reporter a Pulitzer prize, are conducting a war against the very system the Times is claiming to defend. This is an unacceptable way to dissent from national policy, and no excuse can be offered for it. It is an act of violence against our democracy and the Constitution which governs it...

This is not an illegal war and the Administration has behaved in a far less peremptory manner in conducting it than, for example, the Clinton Administration in conducting the war in Bosnia, which was launched without authorization by Congress, yet was not made an object of outrage and a target of opportunity by the New York Times.

Liberals are not defending our constitutional liberties when they betray the contract on which those liberties are based... Sabotage of the war effort – which is what the New York Times has been engaged in – is not criticism; it is sabotage. The violation of American security laws like the Espionage Act is just as much a declaration of war on our democracy as publishing information illegally provided..."

Dallas County hospital plans to bill Mexico and other nations for healthcare costs for indigent illegal aliens...

Get a load of this! Dallas County hospital has determined the amounts that foreign nations owe it for healthcare it provided for illegal-alien indigents and announced that they are billing those nations for that care.

Mexico was determined to have gotten 90% of that care and Hugo Juarez, a consul official at the Mexican Consulate in Dallas, was incensed by the pending bill. In his response, "he called the statements made by the judge 'a strange posture, a strange reasoning.' He said there had been no agreement or contract between his nation and Dallas County that would make such action legal..."

Helloooo...! Just what exactly is legal about foreign nationals scabbing healthcare off of a Dallas County hospital, leaving Dallas County legal citizens picking up the tab?

If Senor Juarez doesn't like his country's getting the bill, he needs to get his country to bring all its strayed citizens who have broken U.S. laws home and provide healthcare for them there. And he needs to pack his Consul bags and go with them.

Adios, amigos... Don't let the Gila monsters bite you on the way out...

Read about it below and here.
"Dallas hospital plans to bill Mexico"

"Parkland Memorial Hospital plans to bill Mexico and other countries to help cover the costs of health care for indigents. The plan, which also seeks payments from adjoining counties in Texas, has brought a negative response from the Mexican government, with a diplomat terming it "an act of discrimination."

Last year, hospital officials said, Dallas County spent $76.5 million to treat people from outside Dallas. Of that, almost $27 million was not reimbursed... County Judge Margaret Keliher said she was not hopeful that other counties -- or countries -- would pay up. But, she said, the county commission thought the matter should be made public and bills sent. "If you're not Dallas County residents, we think where you are from should pay for your indigent health care," Judge Keliher said...

The hospital has spent more than a week figuring out how many foreign nationals have been treated and how much to bill each of the nations. An estimated 90 percent of those affected are Mexican nationals..."

Federal judge ruled that the FBI's raid on Democrat U.S. Rep. William Jefferson's office on Capitol Hill was totally legal...

Well, well. Is anyone surprised about this ruling? I didn't think so. No one in their right mind would believe that any Congress-member has a special "legislative privilege" that places him or her above the rule of law.

There is no expectation of an off-limits area that law enforcement cannot enter and search when they have a valid judge-ordered and signed warrant to do so. The very idea that federal agents can't search a federal office building for evidence of a federal crime is absurd on its face.

Guess we'll now see various and sundry items being carted out of Capitol Hill Congressional offices now. Can't have those nosy ol' G-men finding all the incriminating tidbits that arrogantly self-entitled Congress-members have been storing and hiding from prying eyes in their assumed-to-be-total-sanctuary offices.

No tellin' what kinda' stories all those hard drives and files could tell if they could talk.

I just this minute heard on FNC that Jefferson is appealing the ruling and asking for a stay so that nobody can unseal and examine the documents that were siezed by the FBI. The higher appeals court is the one that would order a stay.

Seems to me a stay would unreasonably interfere with and hinder a federal investigation and keep a corrupt Congressman propped up in an official elected position that requires ethics, integrity, upholding of the rule of law at all times, and not bringing dishonor to the Congress---all of which Mr. Jefferson has failed to live up to.

Read about it below and here:
An FBI raid on a Louisiana congressman's Capitol Hill office was legal, a federal judge ruled Monday. Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan said members of Congress are not above the law. He rejected requests from lawmakers and Democratic Rep. William Jefferson to return material seized by the FBI in a May 20-21 search of Jefferson's office.

In a 28-page opinion, Hogan dismissed arguments that the first-ever raid on a congressman's office violated the Constitution's protections against intimidation of elected officials.
Jefferson's theory of legislative privilege "would have the effect of converting every congressional office into a taxpayer-subsidized sanctuary for crime," the judge said..."

States take the lead in cracking down on lawbreaking employers and illegal workers... in at least 30 states...

Frustrated by the lack of positive action on the part of the federal government and the U.S. Senate, at least 30 states have taken defensive measures to protect their state economies and enact state laws to stop illegal hiring practices and lessen the economic drain on the taxpayers and public services in their states.

You'd think the federal government would get the message and stop trying to shove amnesty-paraded-under-a-pseudonym and the largest welfare expansion in the history of this country down the throats of unwilling American citizens. They either don't get it or they're ignoring the will of the majority of legal citizens throughout this country.

Ignoring we the people is the reverse of what they are elected to do. We elected them to represent our best interests, by proxy, and they are refusing to do so---at the same time they are not enforcing federal border, immigration, labor, I.R.S. and Social Security laws.

More below---including examples of some states' new laws---and here.
"States try to block illegal workers..."

"At least 30 states have passed laws or taken other steps this year to crack down on illegal immigrants, often making it harder for undocumented workers to find jobs or receive public services.

...states have enacted at least 57 laws, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures and a USA TODAY analysis. Among major themes of the state legislation: fining businesses that hire undocumented workers and denying such companies public contracts if they don't verify the legal status of employees.

“The trends … have leaned toward the punitive side... The No. 1 topic has been employment in terms of deterring employers and employees...”

Kim Jong Il's blackmail capital rose for 42 whole seconds... then dropped like a stinkstone stele....

Bwaaahhh, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!

This kind of bribery-bait will get you anywhere, Jongie-boy... at the bottom of the Sea of Japan, that is...

(Hat tip to Signe Wilkinson for political 'toon.)

It was reported here today that "North Korean Missile Targeted Hawaii." This was determined by analysis of the trajectory of the failed missile.

Looks as if wigged-out "Dear Leader" Kim Jong Il is trying to make a reputation for himself as one of the crazed bad-boys of history, while subscribing to the "see-me"syndrome and misconception that bad attention is better than no attention at all.

By the way, Russia and China are in position to throw a monkey wrench into the U.N. Security Council majority's plans to sanction N. Korea, preferring instead a "Presidential Letter" to give them a limp-wristed warning. The remaining 13 members are for strong actions that will serve as a deterrent to KJI's renegade flipping-off of the world community.

Of course, that warning would be from the anti-U.S. Secretary General of the U.N., Kofi Annan, who has presided for the past 9 years over the most corrupt U.N. scandals in the history of that body and who is ending his term this year. He has spent his 9+ years organizing the U.N. Security Council and Human Rights Commission/Council to align members of tinpot and terrorist nations to serve as a collective counterweight to the power of the United States and block everything the U.S. wants done at or by the U.N.

A new "Presidential Letter" would be just about as effective as the first one given to the "Dear Leader" of N. Korea. You know the one... the one he ignored and went on developing his nuclear weaponry and proliferating weapons sales to other "axis of evil" nations and rogue states.

How many of you believe, as I do, that it's time to take away KJI's nuclear toys and banish him back to the sandbox? Sooner, rather than after he lucks up and gets one of those WMD off the ground and on its way to Pearl Harbor...

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black's metaphorical "wall of separation" between church and state is unconstitutionally-created anti-religion law.

Folks, this is without doubt a *****Five Star, must read impeccable thesis on the misuse of a metaphor, gleaned from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Dansbury Baptists about issuing religious "proclamations" while President of the United States, to unconstitutionally create the mythical "wall of separation" and codify it as judicially-created pseudo-law by including it in a Supreme Court precedent-setting ruling.

The extra-Constitutional opinion by Justice Hugo Black has since been used by secular-humanists to discriminate against Christians and Christian religion and remove all evidence of Christian religion from the public square and public life.

This ruling effectively turned "Freedom of Religion" into freedom from religion. It also provided a Court-sanctioned means for discriminating against Christians, by violating their First Amendment freedom of expression and rendering them less equal than the secular-humanist athiests and agnostics whose mission it is to remove all traces of religion from America.

The outstanding and well-researched piece was written by Daniel L. Dreisbach and you can read it in its entirety at The Heritage Foundation. I have broken out some of the main points to include in excerpts below. But it is well worth taking the time to read all of it.
"The Mythical “Wall of Separation”: How a Misused Metaphor Changed Church–State Law, Policy, and Discourse" (First Principles #6)

"No metaphor in American letters has had a more profound influence on law and policy than Thomas Jefferson’s “wall of separation between church and state.” Today, this figure of speech is accepted by many Americans as a pithy description of the constitutionally prescribed church–state arrangement, and it has become the sacred icon of a strict separationist dogma that champions a secular polity in which religious influences are systematically and coercively stripped from public life.

In our own time, the judiciary has embraced this figurative phrase as a virtual rule of constitutional law and as the organizing theme of church–state jurisprudence, even though the metaphor is nowhere to be found in the U.S. Constitution...

What is the source of this figure of speech, and how has this symbol of strict separation between religion and public life come to dominate church–state law and policy? Of Jefferson’s many celebrated pronouncements, this is one of his most misunderstood and misused. I would like to challenge the conventional, secular myth that Thomas Jefferson, or the constitutional architects, erected a high wall between religion and the civil government.[2]...

Throughout his public career, including two terms as President, Jefferson pursued policies incompatible with the “high and impregnable” wall the modern Supreme Court has erroneously attributed to him. For example, he endorsed the use of federal funds to build churches and to support Christian missionaries working among the Indians...

Jefferson’s wall, as a matter of federalism, was erected between the national and state governments on matters pertaining to religion and not, more generally, between the church and all civil government...

The “high and impregnable” wall central to the past 50 years of church–state jurisprudence is not Jefferson’s wall; rather, it is the wall that Black—Justice Hugo Black—built in 1947 in Everson v. Board of Education.

The differences between the two walls are suggested by Jefferson’s record as a public official in both Virginia and the nation, which shows that he initiated practices and implemented policies inconsistent with Justice Black’s and the modern Supreme Court’s “high and impregnable” wall of separation...

Jefferson’s wall separated church and the federal government only. By incorporating the First Amendment non-establishment provision into the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, Black’s wall separates religion and civil government at all levels—federal, state, and local...

After two centuries, Jefferson’s trope is enormously influential, but it remains controversial. The question bitterly debated is whether the wall illuminates or obfuscates the constitutional principles it metaphorically represents...

...the religion provisions were added to the Constitution to protect religion and religious institutions from corrupting interference by the federal government and not to protect the civil state from the influence of, or overreaching by, religion. The wall, however, is a bilateral barrier that unavoidably restricts religion’s ability to influence public life; thus, it necessarily and dangerously exceeds the limitations imposed by the First Amendment...

Is their wall a single-sided wall that imposes restrictions on the church but not on the civil state? All too often, the wall of separation is used to silence the church and to limit its reach into public life, but it is rarely used to restrain the civil state’s meddling in, and restraint of, the church...

We must confront the uncomfortable fact that, for much of American history, the phrase “separation of church and state” and its attendant metaphoric formulation, “a wall of separation,” have often been expressions of exclusion, intolerance, and bigotry. These phrases have been used to silence people and communities of faith and to exclude them from full participation in public life...

Why should we care about this metaphor today? We should care because the wall is all too often used to separate religion from public life, thereby promoting a religion that is essentially private and a state that is strictly secular. This would have alarmed the founders because they viewed religion, to paraphrase George Washington’s words, as an indispensable support for social order and political prosperity...

Today, the wall is the cherished emblem of a strict separationist dogma intolerant of religious influences in the public square. Federal and state courts have used the “wall of separation” concept to justify censoring private religious expression...

The systematic and coercive removal of religion from public life not only is at war with our cultural traditions insofar as it evinces a callous indifference toward religion, but also offends basic notions of freedom of religious exercise, expression, and association in a democratic and pluralistic society.

The “high and impregnable” wall constructed by the Supreme Court inhibits religion’s ability to inform the public ethic and policy, deprives religious citizens of the civil liberty to participate in politics armed with ideas informed by their spiritual values, and infringes the right of religious communities and institutions to extend their prophetic ministries into the public square.

Jefferson’s metaphor, sadly, has been used to silence the religious voice in the marketplace of ideas and, in a form of religious apartheid, to segregate faith communities behind a restrictive barrier.

The wall is politically divisive. Because it is so concrete and unyielding, its very invocation forecloses meaningful dialogue regarding the prudential and constitutional role of religion, faith communities, and religious citizens in public life...

Metaphors, however, must be used with caution in the law, especially in judicial opinions and statutes. Legal discourse, unlike much political rhetoric, requires precision of expression, strict and orderly adherence to rules set forth in legislative enactments or past judicial decisions.
Metaphor is a valuable literary device, but its uncritical use can lead to confusion and distortion...

Metaphors inevitably graft onto their subjects connotations, emotional intensity, and/or cultural associations that transform the understanding of the subject as it was known pre-metaphor. If attributes of the metaphor are erroneously or misleadingly assigned to the subject and the distortion goes unchallenged, the metaphor may reconceptualize or otherwise alter the understanding of the underlying subject.

The more appealing and powerful a metaphor, the more it tends to supplant or overshadow the original subject and the more one is unable to contemplate the subject apart from its metaphoric formulation. Thus, distortions perpetuated by the metaphor are sustained and magnified...

A year after Everson, Justice Stanley F. Reed denounced the Court’s reliance on the metaphor. “A rule of law,” he protested, “should not be drawn from a figure of speech.”[13] Justice Potter Stewart similarly opined in the first school‑prayer case that the Court’s task in resolving complex constitutional controversies “is not responsibly aided by the uncritical invocation of metaphors like the ‘wall of separation,’ a phrase nowhere to be found in the Constitution.”[14]

In a stinging repudiation of the Court’s use of the trope, Justice William Rehnquist offered that the wall “is a metaphor based on bad history, a metaphor which has proved useless as a guide to judging. It should be frankly and explicitly abandoned.”[15]..."

Independence Day is all about freedom... and the U.S. flag is a national symbol and treasure...

Happy Fourth of July---Independence Day---to all Americans!!

(Hat tip to Darryl Cagle for patriotic pix.)

Try the Flag Amendment again, Sam... And keep tryin' it until it passes and is approved by the mandatory number of States.

The United States Flag is a national treasure and symbol of our country's sovereignty, honor and principles. One for which brave Americans have fought and died so that we may remain a free and sovereign nation.
