Whoa!! Americans are being replaced in the American workplace....with jobs outsourced to other countries.... or filled by illegal-alien lawbreakers
Guess the old saw about a rising tide floating all boats doesn't apply anymore. While the illegal-alien flood is floating their millions of boats at low tide..., the tide is fast going out on American citizens who are looking for and can't find a job.
Meanwhile, the all-politics-first hard-left Democrats in the U.S. Senate are playing political games and blocking Republican amendments to the McCain-Kennedy so-called "immigration reform" bill that would grant amnesty to ca. 9M+ illegal-alien lawbreakers.
They have been trying to ramrod this bill through the Senate at super-speed, denying other Senators who object to amnesty and want the border secured an opportunity to even have their amendments heard.
The quality of the proposed McCain-Kennedy bill that rewards lawbreakers---both illegal-aliens and American employers who hire them and often pay them under the table---is shaping up to be on par with the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold-Kennedy Campaign Finance Act that took other rights away from Americans"
Democrats gain a political advantage by not having an immigration bill. They do "not want to expose rank-and-file Democrats to votes that would force them to choose between border security and immigrant rights, only to wind up with legislation that would be eviscerated in future negotiations with the House," according to an article here, titled "Immigration Overhaul Obstacle May Be Fatal," which also included:
"Outside the Senate, several Democratic strategists concluded that the best politics was to allow the bill to die, leaving Republicans with a failed initiative in the Senate at a time when the GOP in the House had passed a measure making illegal immigrants subject to felony charges....
Sens. Jon Kyl of Arizona and Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, both members of the (Republican) leadership, openly opposed the bill..... Kyl as well as Cornyn, Jeff Sessions of Alabama and others criticized the bill as an amnesty measure for lawbreakers...."
And I mentioned earlier that some Democrat strategists believe it's "best politics " for Democrats to simply "allow the bill to die, leaving Republicans with a failed initiative in the Senate at a time when the GOP in the House had passed a measure making illegal immigrants subject to felony charges...."
Soooo....., seewhuddamean about all-politics-first...?
Hat tip to Mike Lester for political 'toon.
