CBS has hired themselves another Dan Rather---this one in a skirt (Meredith Viera) and "patriotic" like "Joe McCarthy"
I don't know another soul who would publicly admit to being a Joe McCarthy "patriot." Or a Joe McCarthy anything! This gal must be at the bottom-left trough of the bell curve.
This is further proof that CBS is nothing more than a nest of anti-Republican, anti-GWB, anti-Iraq War(a/k/a anti-War Against Terrorism) liberals. And that Meredith Viera's elevator doesn't go to the top floor.

"Couric Replacement an Anti-War Liberal"
"Meredith Vieira, widely rumored to replace the departing Katie Couric as co-host of NBC's "Today" show, marched in an anti-Iraq war protest in August 2004.
Appearing on the August 30, 2004 edition of the ABC daytime show "The View," Vieira - a former CBS "60 Minutes" reporter - echoed the most virulent hate speech of the far left, telling viewers that she attended the anti-Bush protest held in New York City on the Sunday before the Republican convention opened....
According to the Media Research Center's NewsBusters.org blog, Vieira displayed a photo of herself marching with her pre-teen daughter and her husband, Richard, who was the senior political producer at CBS News for most of the 1980s. Behind her in the photo is a protest sign featuring a "W," for George W. Bush, with a slash through it.
That was not an isolated incident, NewsBusters reported, noting that earlier in 2004, while speaking of the Iraq war, Vieira said, "Everything's been built on lies. Everything! I mean the entire pretext for war." ....in March 2003, as the United States prepared to go to war, Vieira argued that anti-war protests "should be consistent and repeated every day, I believe."
....Vieira has made clear her opposition to the death penalty. When guest Ann Coulter, a conservative columnist and author, charged that "liberals hate America,” Vieira called that "stupid" and became defensive: "But some people wrap themselves in the flag - I mean, that's what some liberals are against." Then she charged: "Just like [Sen. Joseph]McCarthy: 'I'm just being patriotic.'"
