Are some big-league baseball players' growing steroids-dependencies destroying America's "favorite pastime....?"

All of us baseball fans in the "peanuts and Crackerjax" crowd don't want the selfish ambitions of a few hyper-ambitious players to spoil the sport for everybody else---relegating the long-loved game to just-another-corrupt-sport irrelevance.

We want to be able to root-root-root for our home-team to win---all fair and square---not with pumped-up-by-steroids muscle-bound druggies who care more about their own personal records than the success of the team and the reputation of the sport.

Baseball is no longer the clean sport we can feel good about taking our children to see, at the same time we are trying to instill true moral values and a team spirit of fairness and development of natural skill in them.

America's traditional "favorite pastime" needs to clean up its act.... before it becomes a mere "asterisk" in the lexicon of sports and the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Hat tip to Clay Bennett for political 'toon.
