Mrs. Samuel Alito.... visibly hurt by the cruel political attack on her husband by Senate Judiciary Committee's Democrat Senators

For two days, Mrs. Alito and her family have attended the U.S. Senate confirmation hearings to be there to support her husband, federal court Judge Samuel Alito---as he goes through what has become an unreasonably attenuated and grueling process that allows for some Senators to go beyond the intent of the U.S. Constitution and use the hearings as a forum for attacking a nominee whom they do not support and want to block from attaining a position for which they have received a presidential nomination.

The Senate Judiciary Committee's Democrat Senators have unceasingly attacked, maligned and denigrated Judge Alito to a degree that became unbearable for Mrs. Alito, whose expression, tears, and necessity of leaving the hearing chamber evidence her hurt and her compassion for her husband during an attack to which he was being subjected.

Such attacks are enough to keep well-qualified, highly principled people of integrity from holding themselves forth for public service that involves such a vicious and damaging process for being approved.

As noted in drudgereport, "Sen. Graham said: 'Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.'

Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.

One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: 'After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.'”

I agree.
