HOORAY....!! Now confirmed as Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Samuel Alito will be sworn in today.

Breaking News: Judge Samuel Alito has now been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Senate Democrats have forever changed the dynamic of the U.S. Senate advise, consent and confirmation process. They did so by employing politics of personal destruction, filibustering the Executive Branch nominee, and turning turn the confirmation process into a political campaign to push their hard-left ideology and their political and social agendas---all in order to block Alito's confirmation.

Playing to their hard-left base, particularly pro-abortion interest groups, forty-two of the hard-left Senate Democrats---having failed in their first-time-in-the-history-of-this-country filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee---voted "NO" as their names were called, one-by-one, for their votes.

The hard-left lost. The final vote was 52-48. But, hey...., a win is a win. And Justice Alito will now take his seat on the Supreme Court.

This is a very good day for America and our constitutional republic!
