Hard-left liberal Air America, the left's answer to conservative talk-radio.... got their startup money by taking it from children and the elderly....
This Air America scandal has not gone away and Air America has not returned the almost $1M of startup money for the left-talk radio network that was unlawfully obtained from federal grant money designated only for charity to children and Altzheimers patients [the elderly].
So, where's the money? Who was involved in the taking and spending of it? What is the status of the investigation? And when is the mainstream media going to stop censoring news and hiding the facts about Air Ameriscam....?
Why are the liberal left mainstream media silent on this fraud in the funding of Air America.... and why are they trying to bury this huge story....?
The American taxpaying public has a right to know what happened to that grant money paid for by their taxes.... and they have a right to uncensored, unfiltered news about it.
Added note: The New York Times finally printed an article on this topic but gave very little information about Air America's role in the scandal---and they published it under the obscure title, "Bronx Boys Club's Finances Investigated," [Published: August 12, 2005 with
Correction Appended] and began with:
"The state attorney general's office and the city's Department of Investigation are looking into whether a boys and girls club serving poor children and ailing elderly people in the Bronx had improper financial dealings, including loans to the Air America radio network, state and city officials said yesterday...."
The Times is characterizing the story by referring to $875K in "improper loans made by the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club...." as if the "loans" were made in a vacuum. The loans were obviously made in collusion with Air America to provide the funding for their startup as a left-talk radio network.
The New York Times would have us believe that Air America was just sitting there waiting for the bus and Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club stole the money, rode by and loaned it to them. And they were hoping nobody would read their article at all.... that's why they gave it such an obscure title. They wanted to obscure any mention of Air America so readers would go away thinking Air America was simply an innocent bystander at the bus stop.
Nothing new there.... and nothing approaching new in The Times' article....
