SYRIAN-OCCUPIED LEBANON'S PUPPET GOVERNMENT REFUSING FOREIGN-LED INVESTIGATION OF ASSASSINATION OF PRIME MINISTER RAFIK HARIRI

By Jacqueline, PelicanPost.blogspot - 17 Feb 2005

The Syrian-installed puppet President of Lebanon is refusing to allow an internationally-led investigation into the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri who had recently come out publicly against the Syrian occupation of Lebanon. Syria has no legal rights to continue to occupy Lebanon and is violating a UN resolution that they withdraw all their troops from that country. Syria has the support of Axis of Evil terrorist state Iran, as evidenced by their public announcement yesterday of an alliance between their countries---an alliance that already existed but was not made known officially. Also, both Syria and Iran support the existence of terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon. Below are excerpts from a related article and links to the article in its entirety:

"Family of slain former Lebanese prime minister demands internationally led probe into his killing"
By Paul Garwood, AP writer

"BEIRUT, Lebanon — The family of slain former premier Rafik Hariri called Thursday for an internationally led investigation into his assassination as pressure mounted to catch his killers, setting the scene for a standoff with the Syrian-backed Lebanese government.

Lebanon's government opposes a foreign-led investigation into Monday's blast that killed Hariri and 16 others. It has, however, requested foreign investigators, including Swiss forensic and explosives experts, assist the inquiry. Many Lebanese, including Hariri's supporters, accuse Syria and the Lebanese government of orchestrating the attack and fear a domestic probe will lead nowhere. Both governments have denied any involvement.

"We call upon the international community to promptly take control of this issue and form an international investigation commission, since the assassination of Rafik Hariri is a terrorist act targeting Lebanon's stability and national unity," said a statement released by Hariri's family.
"We will not spare any effort or means to find the perpetrators of this crime no matter what their affiliation is," the statement said...." jacksonville.com
